{Ivy Victoria turns ONE!}

This year Ivy's first birthday fell ON Thanksgiving Day! We had a HUGE Thanksgiving dinner with ALL of our family and then had a sweet little birthday party for Ivy. Since Richard, Ivy, and I couldn't drive down to Georgia till the day before the party, all the decorating for the party was up to my Mama and my aunt. I told my Mama what I wanted the party to look like and she and my aunt did a phenomenal job! It was beautiful!!! See for yourself!!!

I got some of my ideas off of Pinterest but this was mostly my mom and aunt's doings! Ain't it pretty!

I LOVE MY FAMILY!

We had the most amazing time with our family and I am so grateful for having a GREAT first year as a MAMA! I still am in disbelief that I have a ONE YEAR OLD!

How did 12 months go by so quickly???

I have learned a lot as a Mama. I have learned that I am a strong person and there is not much that can bring me down. I have come to know patience as the key to all aspects of life. I've learned that there is nothing I fear more, than not being a person my daughter can look up to. I have learned that I take things for granted without even knowing it.

For the past year, I have breastfed Ivy every single day. She has never taken a bottle. I am the one who provided the most nutritious fuel for her little body. Many moms don't get to know what it is to nurse their littles. I had a rough few weeks at the very beginning. Ivy couldn't latch the right way and it devastated me to think that I couldn't give my baby the best! Nipple shields were my breast friend! (See what I did there??) I used the shield till Ivy was about two months old. I have been so proud of myself to have made it a whole year of nursing Ivy! It's a good feeling for sure, but it is something that I take for granted sometimes...

Moving on...

I have learned to treasure the little things. When Ivy comes and sits in my lap, or when she sits and plays with her toys all by herself, when she kisses me on the cheek without me asking, when she tries to share her very slobbery half eaten teething cracker with me, when she plays with my hair while she nurses, and many MANY more! Those moments don't happen everyday. These moments she won't remember but I hope I never forget them.

Making a HUGE mess eating Spaghetti!

I truly am blessed beyond what I deserve. I have a husband who loves me even with all of my flaws. I have a beautiful, healthy daughter who brightens my LIFE! My family is healthy and happy and we are so grateful for all the many blessings the Lord has given us!

{Ivy is 11 Months old?}

Who knew 11 months could go by so stinkin' fast... I can't even handle thinking about next month when she turns ONE!!! Her birthday will actually be on Thanksgiving DAY this year so we plan on having a HUGE RuBright-Hammett Thanksgiving dinner AND having Ivy's birthday bash afterwards!!! I can't wait to see all of our family under ONE roof! It's gonna have to be a huge roof thats for sure! HA!

So I don't know if y'all have noticed but the last few photo sessions I have done with Ivy haven't been all that great.... Well I am learning that each month, it gets HARDer and harder to make Ivy sit still just long enough for a picture or two. This month my plan was to dress Ivy up as different things since the 27th was so close to Halloween. I had an 80's workout outfit, zebra, and scarecrow lined up. Well A few days before I actually took the pictures, I had make Ivy's tutu for her Scarecrow costume. I had finished it and put it on her and she absolutely HATED it! She wouldn't stop pulling at it and tugging at the straw and screaming her head off. Soooo I kinda knew that the scarecrow was just not happening. So I searched for a new costume and found that she had lots of cheetah print stuff sooooo that is how I added that one into the mix. Then came picture day.... We tried the zebra first and it was awful. She was in a bad mood, wouldn't keep her hat on, nothing was going as planned. So I thought I would just wait till after her morning nap. Well the nap came and went and then I put her 80's workout outfit on. Well that was a bust too. I think I got like two pictures of her with her headband on... She hates wearing socks and shoes so this was just not making her happy either. Then I went ahead and put her cheetah outfit on cause I knew the scarecrow was NOT gonna happen. I even put make-up on her face to make her look like a cute little cub. Then she smeared it and it looked awful and I tried fixing it but it still looked bad but I took the pictures anyways. I just has to try out the scarecrow tutu just ONCE so I put it on her just to see if she would leave it alone and NOPE! She started crying again {as you can tell in the picture}.

NOTICE FINGER IN NOSE.....

SO NOT HAPPY

I decided after looking back at all the picture I took and noticing that only a few were worth anything, I decided not to do a Halloween themed chalkboard and just do a normal board and outfit. So here is the normal ones. It was still pretty hard getting  her to be still but the stool helped! Ha!

LOOK AT THOSE PEARLY WHITES!

NAKED. FREE. HAPPY

She is happiest with no clothes on. Haha My mother said I was the same way as a baby....
As her chalkboard reads, Ivy is 19 pounds!!! She has been gaining a lot more weight now that she eats more "real food" and less of Mama's milk. She is getting too big for her walker already because her poor feet drag the ground when she walks around in it. She will only take 2 or 3 steps at a time but only if I bribe her with something... Usually me blowing huge bubbles with bubble gum haha!
She will get brave any day now and she will just take off! My baby girl is growing up so fast. TOO fast! I get so sad thinking how fast time flies with her! I enjoy and cherish EVERY second of my time with her as her MAMA! :)

Meagan

{October Bliss}

HELLO OCTOBER!!!!

Anyone else just THRILLED that this month is finally here?! Already 2 weeks in and I am LOVING what it has brought!

So much to talk about where do I even begin!?!?!

Ok first off remember when I started my 21 Day Fix journey two months ago?! Well I finished as here are my results and how I achieved them! I ate pretty clean for the most part (had a cheat meal or two), I drank Shakeology EVERY STINKING DAY, did my workouts and I checked in to my challenge group for support and motivation!

I am still drinking ShakeO and still love it! I am starting a new workout in 2 weeks called Piyo! I am super excited to see what it does to my body!

Another awesome thing that has happened this month is that I have reached 2 of my goals that I made when I first signed up as a coach two months ago!! I didn't reach them in the time frame I wanted to but I have reached them and that is all I care about!

I have signed up THREE people to become a coach with me and that made me the Emerald rank! I have also got Success Club 5 qualified and that is super exciting! Now I am striving for SC10!

I have learned a lot from being a Beachbody Coach and I have had good moments and bad moments. My first month was really hard and discouraging and I almost wanted to quit. But my Coach Brittany gave me the words of encouragement that I needed to keep on going and I am so glad that I did! Reaching two of my goals already this month has given me HUGE confidence in myself as a business leader and I am going to reach my next goal SOON I just know it!!

If you would like more info on what I do as a coach or wanna know more about the 21 Day Fix,
find me on facebook or e-mail me at meaganrubright@gmail.com

{Double Digits}

My Ivy Ru is now the big DOUBLE DIGITS!

Ten months old!? Is that possible?? Where the heck did the time go?? I have been reflect A LOT the last few weeks since she turned 10 months and I am a very sad and sappy mother. The slightest videos online about babies make me cry. Ivy's baby pictures are giving me "baby fever" and I find that I don't like her getting so big so FAST! It hurts my heart! I wasn't prepared for the time to pass like it has. I wasn't prepared at all. Talks of adding another little to our family has begun since we want our kiddos close in age and having these talks make me even more depressed!!! Am I being selfish that I want another baby so soon or should I give myself more time with Ivy? Well I have decided to YET AGAIN leave it all up to the good LORD!!! He decided when it was time for Richard and I to have a baby. He picked the perfect time then and He will pick the perfect time with the next babe. So stop asking people!!! Haha In the meantime we will treasure every second with Ivy Victoria and keep making memories and taking millions of pictures of her!!! :)

{Letters to Ivy}

My sweet Ivy,

I can't get over how much you have grown in the last 9 months. Time needs to slow down and let me take it all in. I look back at your newborn pictures and it makes me sad that you aren't my tiny little butterball anymore. These days you are getting into anything and everything. You are a pro-crawler now and love to pull yourself up on the couch, ottoman, tv stand, and wherever else you can pull up on. You get brave sometimes and let go and stand up all by yourself. I think you will be walking really soon. You have started eating solid food and love sweet potatoes, corn, peas, pretty much everything really. You can still fit into 6m-9m clothes but just barely. You weigh almost 18 pounds. The curiosity you have about the world around you makes me think that you are going to love being able to walk around and get into things you probably shouldn't. You wanna do things your way and your way only. Even feeding you is getting difficult because you wanna feed yourself with the spoon, but you just wanna chew on it mostly. You have 4 teeth now, two on top and two on bottom! Teething has been awful lately. You run a low fever some nights and it breaks my heart that I can't help you. You still love Frozen and you have come to really love watching Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood. You love walking around the house in your walker and being able to watch Gunner outside. Your hair is getting so long and it makes me excited to be able to use little bows here soon! I can't believe in 3 short months you will be a ONE YEAR OLD! Guess I should start planning your birthday party huh?! I already have lots of ideas for it! Your birthday actually falls on Thanksgiving Day this year so your will be a Turkey baby for sure! I can't wait for the holiday season this year! Halloween is next month and I have no clue what you will be dressed as! Then Thanksgiving and Christmas with our family will be so fun! Many memories will be made for sure!

 Ivy Ru you are such a sassy little girl but you also have such a kind spirit. My favorite part of the day is in the mornings when you wake up and you start loving on me and snuggling up to me. You sit up and your smile is as bright as the morning sunshine! You are such a fun baby. I love you so much! I feel like every month I say that this is my favorite stage of your life so far. You are my favorite!
XO

{New "JOB"}

Hey Folks!!!

So I started a new "JOB" on August 14th, 2014. I became a Beachbody Coach. I put quotations around job because I don't feel like it's a job! I actually ENJOY what I do as a coach! I get to help people achieve their health and fitness goals! I get to motivate them, keep them accountable, and give them support!

I prayed for a while about becoming a coach. I wasn't sure if coaching was for me. I had doubts and fears in my head but after doing more and more research on it and watching a lot of YouTube videos, I knew this was something that I would love doing!

Then I took that step and contacted the lady that I wanted to be MY coach, Brittany, and she helped me sign up as a coach and purchase a Challenge Pack from Beachbody!
I ordered the 21 Day Fix Challenge Pack and it came with the fitness program AND a 30 day supply of Shakeology, which I got in chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla.

I was SUPER excited to be a part of a "FAMILY" that had the same kind of wants & desires I had.
I signed up as a coach for MANY reasons. Just to name a few.... I wanted to contribute financially to my family and help us get out of debt. I wanted to help people reach their goals whether it be fitness goals, health goals, even financial goals. And most importantly, I wanted to get healthy for ME and my family. I want my daughter to look up to me in every way possible, even my eating habits and daily exercise.

This is a new chapter in my life and I am so ready to see where God takes me with it! I have been doing the 21 Day Fix and drinking Shakeology for lunch for two weeks now and have already had great results!!!

As you can see I have lost pounds and inches that I never wanna see again!!!
I have lost the bloating and really thinned out all over! And more importantly I feel AMAZING!
I get excited to workout every day and I love drinking my Shakeology after the workouts!

If you are reading this post and you want to learn more about being a Coach or the 21 DAY FIX, comment below OR email me at meaganrubright@gmail.com OR on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/meagan.rubright

Have an awesome day y'all!
